I made it back to the states, So heres a highlight report, until I write out the full report from the Vuelta a Nicaragua.
TTT, 2nd place, not bad straight off a plane. stage 3, 18k climb to death march, cramp city. Stage 4, flat until the last 14k, yet another leg blaster and dont forget the 5k cobbled climb. Stage 5, Rolling and windy, teammate Jared Bunde wins solo by 4 minutes. Stage 6, Circuit, easiest day, cover attacks and protect Jared's 6th GC position, he rolls off the front on the last lap and gets 3rd.
Dos Pinos does lots of drugs, runs the show, though we were they only team they liked and we made some deals on road. The two other American teams hated us because we blasted them everyday, saying it wasn't fair. Typical American attitude. Shitty chamois, lost in Managua, 300 calories of food a day, and much much more to come!
There is a website (which I can't find right now), with some photos, and I have some, I'll post em up when I find em.
